.......I have owned horses for over 30 years but I wasn’t prepared for the mare I bought........

I was her last chance, she had been on loan to 3 people over the summer and things were looking dim for her despite her good points. I’ve always been a glass half full kind of a girl…..

Turn out - now that was just dangerous! Rearing, running over you, barging - the whole book of tricks! So, as a safety measure, I decided that stabling was not an option, she would have to live out all the time. Pretty soon, these turnout habits reared their ugly head after riding, but I persevered with the mare. The real problem was the unpredictability of it all - one day she would be fine and the next day, a potential killer and I couldn’t recognise the difference. She had panic attacks in the field, hated changing her grazing – generally a real paranoid schizophrenic......

I called and spoke to Anne she was very positive and came along. She taught me how to recognise the signs with Bonnie and how to deal with them before they got out of hand and then if they did, how to get her back down to earth!

It was amazing - within 3 weeks Bonnie was more predictable, but most of all, I recognised when she wasn’t and could deal with it straight away.

She is now settled in the field and even changing grazing is not an issue.
